How to Turn Disney+ Subtitles On and Off

In this article, we're going to show you how to enable and disable subtitles on Disney+ and customize their appearance.
How to Enable or Disable Subtitles on Disney+
Whether you watch Disney+ on your computer, TV, mobile, or other devices, you can enable subtitles. This change is persistent across all your devices; enable subtitles on your phone and they'll also show on your TV. In most cases, the subtitles are available in a range of languages.
You don't need to download the subtitles—they come part and parcel of the Disney+ experience.
- Start playing something and pause the video.
- Select the keyboard icon in the top-right.
- Depending on your device, you might need to select Subtitles.
- Choose your subtitle language. Alternatively, to disable subtitles, select Off.
- Depending on your device, you might need to press back or the cross icon to close the subtitles menu.
How to Change Subtitle Appearance on Disney+
You can also change the appearance of the subtitles. To do this from some devices, like desktop, remain on the subtitles menu and select the cog icon. For other devices, like smart TVs, switch to the Subtitle Styling tab.
On iOS, Android, Xbox, and PlayStation, go to the Accessibility section in the device's settings (not the Disney+ app.).
